Support the Small & Local Businesses that Support STA!

We invite STA families to patronize the small and local businesses that have supported STA over the years, especially through the STArry Night fundraiser. It has been a challenging year for everyone, including these small and local businesses. If you are able, here are are a few ways you can support them right now:


Shop for good reads at 57th Street Books / Seminary Co-Op. They are offering local delivery and curbside pick-up. Visit their website to learn more details!


Hyde Park Property Management is offering some great pricing on their studio through 3-bedroom apartment homes, all which are within a mile of St. Thomas, as well as some specials for those who apply the same day as their apartment tour.


Saucy Porka is open for take-out.


The Sitdown Cafe and Sushi Bar is open for delivery and carry-out.


Wesley's Shoe Corral is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and they were even featured on WTTW last month! They are taking appointments and walk-ins and completing a health screening for all customers. If you are in need of winter boots, check them out!


Shred415 South Loop is offering on-demand streaming work outs and you can get your first 7 days free!


57th Street Wines has pick-up and delivery available. Order by 4 pm to get same-day delivery. Walk-ins are still welcome to order at their counter. Order online from 57th Street Wines


The Budlong Hot Chicken is accepting take-out and delivery orders right now. You can support them the most by ordering directly from their website or from their app.


Chant Chicago is also accepting take-out and delivery orders on their website or by calling 773-324-1999. You can get $10 off your first online order over $30!


Shop uniforms, spirit wear and other great gift items at Martinelli's.


Hair Design International on 57th St. is open and offering $5 off adult haircuts on Tuesdays. Check their website for the health and safety protocols they have in place.


The Space is open and following very strict health and safety protocols, such as wearing a mask at all times, cleaning equipment after each use, and diligently washing hands and using sanitizer. They also have some exciting news. They are expanding in February and will move from the Del Prado to the Sutherland, which is located at 47th and Drexel. The gym will be 13,000 square ft., set on two levels and allow for ample social distancing. Parents interested in membership can contact Annie Padrid: 773–662–6693 or anniepadrid@gmail.com.


Bonne Sante Health Foods takes delivery orders for their food and supplements on Grubhub and Ritual. In addition, all vitamins and protein shakes are 20% off on the first Tuesday of every month!


Medici on 57th is accepting take-out and delivery orders. If you place an order online using their Chow Now service, then you can get 10% off of your first order!


Toys Et Cetera has extended business hours on Thursdays and Fridays and they are open until 8 pm.


Get some delicious treats from Kilwins in Hyde Park. Let them customize your perfect gift for a loved one, a colleague, or client! Email jackiejackson@kilwins.com to place your order. Pick-up and delivery is available by calling 773-675-6731 or emailing chicago-hydepark@kilwins.com. Delivery is also available through Uber Eats.


Kenwood School of Ballet is currently offering classes for students both in-person and virtually. They currently offer Ballet, Acrobatic Arts, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre and MORE for beginner – advanced students of all ages!


First Aid Comics is a great place to shop for the comic lover in your life! They are currently offering curb side pick-up and orders can also be shipped.


Registration for the Winter/Spring session 1 at Hyde Park School of Dance (running from Jan. 25-March 1st) is now open! Classes are currently taking place virtually.


Court Theatre is selling gift certificates with no expiration date. Gift certificates can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 773-753-4472.


Comedy Sportz Chicago has been performing live virtually since March 2020. They have public shows running on TWITCH every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and 9:30pm. They can also do private performances at any time of day for corporations, birthdays, etc. The show is always CLEAN so they can do shows for everyone! Cornell Florist is currently accepting orders online for delivery and curb-side pick-up. You can also place your order at the door. Their store front is not currently open, but anything you can buy in the store is now available for purchase on their website. Keep them in mind for your Valentine's Day purchases!


Porkchop Hyde Park is taking orders online for pick-up!


The Second City Chicago is offering online shows including a family-friendly show called, The Really Awesome Improv Show.


Schoolbelles is offering STA families 50% off (final sale) of the gym uniform items with the accordion logo. If you are in need of a few additional items to get through this year, use the attached flyer.
