SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING
STA values education of the whole child and we are proud to provide STA's students with a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum.
​
Pre-K - through 5th grade classes follow the Second Step curriculum to learn about Skills for Learning, Empathy, Problem Solving, and Emotion Management.
Middle School uses a curriculum developed by Big Shoulders Fund that is aligned with the CASEL standards.
​
The lessons students learn through the SEL curriculum carry into all core subject areas throughout the school day and beyond the classroom.
