Other School Support
Because tuition does not cover the full cost of education at St. Thomas the Apostle School, families must fulfill a service requirement throughout the year. This provides opportunities for building community and creating a special environment for learning within a caring community. Families earn "STArs" for their service hours. Families must earn 3 "STArs" by the end of the school year. Each "STAr" correlates to a certain type of volunteer opportunity. Examples of these opportunities are listed in the school handbook.
STA is committed to making a high-quality, Catholic education available to God’s children in extraordinary variety. Families in need of financial assistance are encouraged to apply on FACTS. This is the first step STA families need to complete in order to apply for financial assistance - FACTS website.
STA has a scholarship committee that meets monthly to review applications for aid and award need-based scholarships. The scholarship committee does not see the names of the applicants when determining awards. Families will be notified via email about any possible award and must submit the scholarship acceptance letter by the listed deadline. Families applying for financial aid are encouraged to apply early, as we award more scholarships during the spring and early summer.
If you have any further questions regarding the financial aid process, please contact STA’s Tuition Manager, Mrs. Avinay Edwards – firstname.lastname@example.org.
